A perfect appetizer or snack featuring the rich, smoky flavor of bacon paired with crunchy mushrooms.
Ingredients:
-
Bacon: 1 pack (about 10-15 strips)
-
Queen Mushrooms: 200g
-
Ground black pepper
-
Toothpicks (for securing).
Instructions:
-
Prep: Wash the mushrooms and cut them into strips roughly the same width as the bacon slices.
-
Wrap: Lay a strip of bacon flat, place a piece of mushroom at one end, and roll it up tightly. Secure with a toothpick if necessary. Sprinkle lightly with black pepper (skip the salt since the bacon is already salty).
-
Pan-sear: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat (no extra oil is needed as the bacon will render its own fat). Add the mushroom rolls and pan-sear them, flipping continuously until the bacon is golden, crispy, and the mushrooms are tender inside.
-
Finish: Remove the toothpicks, plate the rolls, and serve with a lemon-pepper-salt dip or chili sauce.
